Friday, 6 April to Monday, 9 April 2012: ART EXHIBITION by local watercolour artist Geoff Ivory at WALTON MARITIME MUSEUM, 10.30 am to 3.30 pm. Free admission.
Monday, 9 April 2012: FRINTON RAILWAY GATES "CLOSING" CEREMONY. Frinton Railway Cottage, Gardens and Signal Box will be open 10.30 am to 4.00 pm. At 12.00 noon, Trevor Bright, grandson of the last gatekeeper, will shut the gates now relocated outside the main station entrance, for the last time. He will be accompanied by a mystery celebrity! Cream teas or bacon butties will be served during the day in the garden and the museum will be open.
Saturday, 5 May 2012 until the end of September: WALTON MARITIME MUSEUM opens daily 2.00 - 4.00 pm. The SUMMER EXHIBITION features royal associations and local sporting activities to reflect 2012.

Saturday, 19 May 2012: SPRING FAIR at FRINTON CROSSING COTTAGE GARDENS from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm. One of our main fundraising events, we are grateful for donations of bric-a-brac, jewellery, cakes, preserves, bottle tombola, books, plants, etc, and helpers on the day.
Sunday, 3 June 2012: James Stevens No.14 will be taking part in the QUEEN'S DIAMOND JUBILEE PAGEANT on the River Thames in London between Barn Elms and Tower Bridge from 2.00 pm.
Monday, 4 June 2012: Exhibitions on FRINTON GREENSWARD to mark the QUEEN'S DIAMOND JUBILEE. There will be a fly past by the BATTLE OF BRITAIN MEMORIAL FLIGHT - a twin-engined Dakota, an american aircraft that was used by the RAF, to remember the Wellington twin-engined bomber lost off Frinton in the Second World War.
Monday, 4 June 2012: A BARBECUE at the Naze, Walton, from 8.00 pm, followed by the LIGHTING OF THE NAZE BEACON between 10.00 and 10.30 pm.
Tuesday, 5 June 2012: STRAWBERRY TEAS will be served in the FRINTON RAILWAY COTTAGE GARDEN from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.
Thursday, 28 June 2012: Afternoon Outing to FLATFORD.
Friday, 29 June 2012: STEWARDS' BRIEFING & PREVIEW NIGHT from 7.00 to 9.00 pm at WALTON MARITIME MUSEUM. A chance for our stewards to talk to the museum team and for our guests to look round this year's exhibition of royal associations and local sporting activities to reflect 2012.
